This fall marked another year of the Blind Brook–Edgemont football merger and the team battled through a tough schedule to finish 1–7. Their biggest moment of the season came right away against Woodlands. Junior John Marino called it “the best game of the season,” saying that “it was tight all the way through but as a team we came together and won instead of playing just for personal stats.” Marino backed that up with a huge stat line of 103 rushing yards, a touchdown, a sack, and 10 tackles. During the entire season Marino led the defense with 49 tackles, 7 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, a forced fumble, a caused safety, and two fumble recoveries. The team fell in the first round of the playoffs, and postseason awards are still to be announced.
Blind Brook girls soccer had one of the most memorable seasons in school history. After a strong 12-2-2 regular season the team won the 2025 Section 1 Class B Championship. It was their first title in 25 years and only the second ever in school history. The championship game ended in dramatic fashion with junior Lola Gonzalez drilling a 25 yard winner at the end of double overtime. The team eventually fell in sub-regionals but the run was historic. Several players earned recognition for the season they had. Senior captain and Carnegie Mellon commit Kayleigh Curran was named All-Section, along with sophomore winger Gabby Cavallo. Sophomore center back Ashley Brookman earned All-Section Honorable Mention. Junior goalkeeper Bella Montesano was named Goalie of the Year after recording 117 saves, a save percentage of 89 percent, and nine shutouts.
Coming off last year’s state title Blind Brook girls volleyball had another strong year. The team went 15-3 in the regular season and reached the Section 1 semifinals. Senior Ella Rosenfeld, who is committed to Colby College to play volleyball, earned All-Section and was named League Player of the Year. Her sisters also made their mark. Freshman Annabel Rosenfeld earned All-Section honors, while senior Oriah Rosenfeld, who committed to Franklin & Marshall to play volleyball, was named All-Conference. Junior Georgianna Haas capped off the list with her own All-Section selection. Despite the semifinal exit the roster’s depth and postseason awards highlight another high level year for the program.
Boys soccer fought through an up-and-down season finishing with a record of 5-8-3 but competitive in nearly every match. Their season ended in a tight first-round battle with Dobbs Ferry, a game that went down to the wire. Two seniors earned postseason honors: So Achiwa was named All-Section, and Dylan Orris received All-Section Honorable Mention.
