Now that a successful fall season has ended throughout our boys and girls soccer teams, the volleyball team, cheerleading, the football team and more, it is time to shift to the winter season!

Over the next several weeks, starting on December 4th, our very own Blind Brook basketball athletes will need the recognition they deserve on the court. The girls game starts at 4:30 while the boys start at 6:15… we have two games that need full student support! Both teams are entering the season with high expectations and Coach Len and Coach Aguilar are ready to start two very successful seasons.

With basketball also comes our dance team, led by captains: Maddie Fishbach, Maddie Margolis, Sara Abramson, Sasha Steiner, Alli Low, and Skylar Kraut who lead the team of about 40 girls to entertain the crowds during the halftime of the varsity games. Homecoming is on January 30th, 2026 and it is ESSENTIAL that the regulations of spirit week are followed and the pep rally is extremely pumped up! Blind brooks student section, not only at homecoming but all the time, needs to bring the energy to support our winter sports. Fans do not want to miss it, this game being the most crowded and high energy event of the season. Not only the intensity but also the vulnerability while watching the seniors get handed their roses throughout their last athletic steps in Blind Brook.

The boys are coming back strong from a great 2024-2025 season. They ended 18-5, almost securing the section title, but falling short to Woodlands. Even though impactful seniors have graduated, the now seniors like Tyler Taerstein, Dylan Orris, Sebastian Lim, and Stephen Grazio are ready for a comeback and the past freshmen, now sophomores like Ryan Brown and Cooper Smith are even more dominant and confident on the court.  The boys basketball team is always an entertaining watch and they always bring the energy. At the county center last season, Blind Brook students came and watched and support is NEEDED this year. With parents, friends, and the dance team on the bench, it is crucial to have friends come and watch this impactful year. The captains are ready and have been preparing to win what was deserved last year.

Ending 14-8 in the 2024-2025 season, our girls team has an immense amount of talent led by the now seniors Kendall Koningsberg and Bella Montesano. The roster is powerful this year with seniors who have been on the team since freshman year and to highlight Kendall Konigsberg who reached 1000 points as a junior. Ella Rosenfeld adds height and strength to the team and juniors like Skylar Sommers, Carly Hodes, and Allie Solow bring fire to the team with depth and skill. New sophomores and even freshmen have been added to the mix who will ultimately just tie this powerhouse of a team together. The lady trojans ended strong last year but the captaincy and unity this year is huge. The girls are ready to bring it and become a team never seen before!
