Twenty years later, Jim Carey and Jeff Daniels still have their audience laughing. On November 14, 2014 Dumb and Dumber To, the sequel to the famous Dumb and Dumber hit theaters. News broke out in 2011 that this sequel would be filmed and fans have waited about three years for this hysterical premiere.
The movie begins with Lloyd Christmas played by Jim Carrey, and Harry Dunne played by Jeff Daniels, where they left off twenty years ago. But this time, with an all new and unexpected plot twist. In Dumb and Dumber To, Lloyd and Harry set off to find Harry’s long lost daughter.
The Dumb and Dumber movies have had a reputation broadcasting a sophomoric, sarcastically witty kind of humor that high school students find amusing. Blind Brook students themselves have hit movie theaters to see the movie fans have been waiting for.
Sophomore Alec Milbauer said, “I really want to see Dumb and Dumber To because the first one was hilarious and hopefully this one will be just as funny if not funnier. I have high expectations for it.”
Like Milbauer, the anxious excitement is shared. Moviegoers that have already seen Dumb and Dumber To say that it was the perfect sequel and that it is surprising that the same actors, twenty years later, can make the same audience laugh and enjoy the cinematic plot.
