Blind Brook Varsity Boys’ Soccer Season Concludes Against Briarcliff in the Section Final

The Blind Brook Boys’ soccer team lost yesterday 3-2 to Briarcliff in the Section 1 Class B finals at Lakeland High School. The Boys’ Soccer Team was looking for their first section title since moving up to class B but came up just short.

Zach Kornblum and Jack Shapiro put in the 2 goals for Blind Brook but got ousted by a hat-trick from Jason Oppong of Briarcliff. Overall it was a great season for the team as they finished with a 15-4-1 record. Junior midfielder Drew Kaye put it, “We played great all season and it hurts to come up short. We truly believed that this was our year, but on that day Briarcliff was the better team.”

Seniors, Rowan Kansler and Zachary Zimmerman and Junior Isaac Mintz earned All-League honors for their contributions during the season. While Seniors Bryan Wei and Zachary Kornblum earned All-Section honors.
