This upcoming winter marks the return of several historic Blind Brook Trojan teams. From varsity boys and girls basketball teams, to ice hockey and swimming, our Trojans are anticipating great successes.
Boys Varsity Basketball
After finishing last season with a 12-8 record, the Trojans are hungry for a comeback. Despite some seniors graduating, the team has re-loaded with some fresh talent. Key players include captains, Senior Noah Brookman and Junior Tyler Taerstein. Their 2023-2024 season was marked with a critical victory that secured their playoff spot. With veteran leadership and emerging upcoming talent, the boys basketball team aims to clinch a league title and make a deep playoff run this year.
Girls Basketball
The girls basketball team had an exceptional 2023-2024 season, achieving one of their best records in recent history. Known for their aggressive defense and sharp perimeter shooting, the Trojans consistently outworked their opponents. Although their last playoff journey ended earlier than hoped, the team left the court with a promising outlook, confident that the veterans would return for another key year. Now, the girls are coming back stronger and more determined than ever. Led by star guard Junior Kendall Konigsberg, they aim for yet another playoff appearance this season.
Ice Hockey
The Rye Town Harrison Titans, combined with Rye Neck, Harrison, Blind Brook and Port Chester were thwarted to a league championship in 2024 after a 15-2-1 record last year. Advancing up a league this year, the team looks to continue their thrilling wins and electrifying goals. Collectively, they hope to build on their prior achievements by focusing on maintaining a balanced lineup. Anchored by captains Sean Mohr and Isaac Shultz, amongst other crucial players, the Titans are determined to keep their dominant offense and fast past action for another deep playoff push for the third consecutive season.
Swimming
The Trojans’ swimming team continued its tradition of excellence last season, with multiple swimmers qualifying for sectional and state-level meets. Several athletes broke records, showcasing the team’s dedication and talent. This upcoming season, the team is poised to dominate freestyle and medley relays, with their stamina and precision making them formidable competitors. Watch for standout performances as the team aims to continue its longstanding tradition of success.
With strong teams across the board, Blind Brook athletics is set for another historic winter season. Go Trojans!!
